An Oak Hill Wedding

Leah and Brian tied the knot at The Lake at Oak Hill on Saturday, September 9, 2017! This wedding day could not have gone any more perfect! The weather was amazing, the venue was dreamy, and the bride was stunning! I was super excited to shoot this wedding not just because it was an outdoor wedding (which is my fav), but because I had gotten to know Leah and Brian pretty well from the engagement session! Their chemistry is undeniable and Brian’s love for Leah is an amazing thing to witness.

He. LOVES. Her.

And not only does he love Leah, but he has taken Leah’s son as his own, and THAT was enough to get me teary eyed during the ceremony! One of my favorite moments during the day was when Brian took a moment to share his love to Baylor. So stinkin sweet! Another favorite part was when Baylor caught the garter! This was genuinely a family affair and I am so humbled to have been a part of it!

Leah and Brian, I seriously can’t thank you enough for allowing me to come along this journey with you! Your love for one another is truly inspiring! Love you guys!!! xoxo Brittany

Carly and Ryan: A White Oak Wedding

Carly and Ryan got hitched at White Oak Plantation in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on August 26, 2017. The day started at Carly’s apartment where she and her bridal entourage got dressed and ready for the big day! Of course we had to take some cute bridal party pictures before I left! And OH MY GOODNESS was that fun! The bridesmaids were all matching in gorgeous blue cotton gowns and Carly had the CUTEST white bridal romper!

Once we made it to White Oak Plantation, we had to prepare Carly for not one, but TWO first looks! One with Ryan and one with her dad!

This was such a sweet time for Carly and her two favorite men and extended her wedding day experience by another hour of portrait time! I could tell Ryan was a little on edge before he saw Carly, but once they were able to see each other and hold one another, they INSTANTLY calmed down and was able to enjoy the rest of the day!

First looks are my absolute FAVORITE! It becomes a time that is set aside for just the bride and groom in the midst of the crazy preparations of the day. Once they see each other, nothing else matters and that is such a beautiful thing.

I can’t express enough how thankful I am to have met such a sweet couple. It was an amazing thing to witness just how many people love you guys and are so happy for your marriage! You had so much love in that room and the joy from your friends and family just shows how much you are cared for and loved. We are praying that God blesses you in your marriage and can not wait to see what He has in store for you!

Jamyne and John: A Summer Wedding

Jamyne and John made their family officially complete on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at The Gatehouse in Baton Rouge, LA! It was a rainy week here in South Louisiana, but God held back the rain so that they could have a bright and beautiful wedding ceremony outside under the gorgeous gazebo! I loved how Jamyne and John included their four kiddos in the wedding party! And my absolute favorite part was when Jamyne and John’s daughters gave a surprise speech at the cake cutting! Everyone was a little teary eyed by the end of it (including me) and it set the scene for the rest of the night! I was truly impressed how two families truly became one and I pray that God blesses their marriage and their family for many, many more years to come!

Morgan and Will: A Wedding on the Bayou

Morgan and Will tied the knot on  Sunday June 11, 2017 at Palmettos on the Bayou in Slidell, Louisiana! It was wet, it was raining, but that didn’t stop Morgan and Will from having one of the most beautiful weddings that I’ve been a part of! One of my favorite parts of the wedding day was watching Will’s reaction to Morgan walking down the aisle. His reaction is what every bride hopes for! I was also OBSESSED with her choice of venue!! Palmettos on the Bayou was absolutely gorgeous! Perfect for a South Louisiana wedding!

Congratulations Morgan and Will! I loved working with you two and I am so glad we met! Your love for one another is truly inspiring! Praying for you guys! 🙂

Casey and Cameron: A Sweetheart Wedding

I knew Casey and Cameron way back before they were ever “Casey and Cameron”. I watched them grow up in youth group when I was in college helping out as a chaperone! They were always together and I think everyone knew that wedding bells were in their future! Probably before they even did! When they got engaged I was so extremely happy for them, and even more thrilled when Casey asked me to photograph her wedding! They got married at the beautiful Live Oak United Methodist Church! This is the same church that my husband and I got married in, so it was very special for me to be on the other side of the camera witnessing and capturing their vows and love for one another! Sarah and Dustin: A Perfect Spring Wedding

I fell in love with Sarah and Dustin the moment we started their engagement session! She put so much thought into the details of their amazing outfits and was so open to all of my fun posing ideas! “Hey Sarah, how would you feel about running together in this open field at sunset in your mother’s wedding dress? Sarah–“YES!!!”  Their engagement session was definitely one of my favorites of all time! It was perfect, beautiful, and straight out of a Pinterest board!

Fast forward five months and here we are. The most beautiful wedding I’ve ever been a part of! I am super partial to outdoor weddings, because lets be honest, theres nothing more gorgeous than a Louisiana sunset and a beautiful location like White Oak Plantation.

From witnessing their first kiss as husband and wife, to their last kiss of the night, I was so honored to be a part of Sarah and Dustin’s wedding day, and I pray that God continues to bless their marriage in the years to come!
